• On 16th May 2008 The Star covered the 3rd May visit to the Centre of the Farnborough Craft Guild, celebrating their 25th anniversary. On 20th March The Star covered the 15th March visit to the Centre by members of the Surrey Association of Woodturners. On 22nd February 2008 the Farnborough News Group covered the story of groups of local sixth formers taking part in the Young Enterprise Spring Fair here in Princes Mead on Saturday 9th February. The Star sponsored the Donation Station campaign run in the Centre during February 2008.
